Annual Dinner
Our Annual Dinner and Ball is held each spring at The Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, Rotherham.
This year's Dinner was held on Saturday, March 16th, and was a resounding success. It was attended by over 60 people, including the incoming Mayor and Mayoress of Rotherham; various local captains of industry; BJC officers; past and present members of RJCC and other local Chambers, their friends and families.
During the course of the evening a raffle was held, raising over £250 for Macmillan Cancer Research.
Our guest speakers were: Mr. Phil Davies of Towntalk Media, who gave an inspiring talk on the future of Rotherham as a town; Mr. Joe Dilger, national president, BJC, whose fine speech encouraged several people present to join us (thank you, Joe!) and Mr. Martin Randall of Wakefield Junior Chamber, who regaled us all with his words of wisdom and wit.
The main speech of the evening was given by our 2002 president, Mr. Craig Tyler, who spoke of the many fine achievements of RJCC during the last twelve months, and of our collective determination to make the next year even more of a success.
A splendid time was had by all!
